Role Purpose
The Commercial Strategy Manager for North America will play a key role in our 'Hain Reimagined' transformation by leading strategic initiatives and building organizational capabilities to deliver profitable, sustainable revenue growth & increased market share.
This role owns the design, management and ongoing optimization of the Hain NA Op Model including the Strategic Planning processes, Business Performance reviews and other key Commercial forums and Success KPI tracking. He/she will collaborate with teams across the business to analyze current strategies and processes and help identify and deliver business improvements that streamline activity, increase quality and efficiency and represent best practices that achieve our Brand Building goals and elevate our Strategic Retailer Engagement.
The Commercial Strategy Manager will assist in other projects such as Channel Strategy development, Revenue Growth Management, and other strategic pursuits in support of Hain's NA growth ambition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leads Strategic Planning and Business Performance Processes:
- Process Owner for: +1Yr Fiscal Planning for Brands & Customers; Long-Range Strategic Portfolio Planning; Monthly / Quarterly Business Reviews; and other related Op Model forums and processes across the Commercial organization.
- Owns the creation of and deployment of the necessary templates and tools; maximizes process adoption with effective cross-functional collaboration, identification of interdependencies, and development and communication of process maps, flow diagrams and related documentation.
- Plays a pivotal, behavioral role in driving accountability of the various functions/teams to agreed roles and responsibilities, commitments and deadlines in the context of business planning and execution.
- Acts as a 'Thinking Partner' attending various Planning feeder meetings voicing strategic considerations, overall guidance and practical planning advice.
- Develops and maintains consistent Performance Review tools & trackers that inform Executive Leadership Team on NA business performance vs goals, highlighting variances and the respective actions needed in partnership with the Commercial teams.
- Continuously improves NA Op Model by networking, benchmarking and elevating processes to industry best practices, delivering greater business value.
Develops and Drives Strategy for Priority Growth Channels:
- Owns the strategy development for Growth Channels, with primary focus on Away-from-Home (Convenience and Food Service) given incrementality & growth potential for Hain NA.
- Leads the cross-functional connections and drives the required actions across the organization to prioritize and deliver AFH growth.
- Partners with other Customer and Trade Strategy teams with robust analytics and insights to assess how and where Hain can unlock growth in key opportunity channels such as eCommerce, Club and Value/Dollar.
Supports Revenue Growth Management (RGM) Initiatives:
- Collaborates with RGM and other Commercial teams on embedding RGM into the planning processes and Op Model. Assists with strategic development and implementation of key initiatives across the organization, acting as a key enabler in adoption and executional excellence.
Assists with other Strategic Projects:
- Provides a strategic perspective with analysis, insights and recommended actions. Projects will vary based on business needs / dynamics. Could include but not limited to market expansion assessment, whitespace opportunities, competitive analysis & benchmarking.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Related Field
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in Trade Strategy, Sales, Marketing or related roles within the CPG industry.
- High-level proficiency in MS Office and fluence mining & interpreting insights with Syndicated Data (i.e. IRI/SPINS, Nielsen, SupplyTrak, Numerator).
- Preferred:
- Experience in Away-from-Home channels an asset.
- Management experience preferred but not required

- Work Environment: Predominantly remote, with some flexibility for office presence when needed.
