    Primary Responsibilities
    The Senior Server Engineer is a critical role responsible for server and storage infrastructure in the enterprise. This individual will be a technical expert with experience in various operating systems, virtualization technologies, and cloud solutions. They will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the company's IT infrastructure.     Essential Functions
    • Lead in the design, acquisition, implementation, and support of cloud and on-premise compute and storage infrastructure.
    • Analyze infrastructure to determine and resolve inefficiencies.
    • Manage infrastructure projects and make recommendations on solutions.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in infrastructure technology and best practices.
    • Collaborate with network engineers, security engineers and other IT professionals.


    Technical Leadership and Project Management
    • Provide technical leadership and overall project management of various essential and high visibility projects.
    • Technical lead for design and administration decisions related to Infrastructure.
    • Training/Mentoring: Promote the professional growth of the team.


    Support and Operations
    • Performance and capacity planning: monitor, reconfigure and tune hardware and software for performance improvements and future scalability.
    • Provide Tier III support for essential infrastructure as needed. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
    • Ensure that systems are running at optimal performance and best practice.

    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
    • Experience: 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead position in a 24/7 enterprise environment.
    • Project Management: Proven track record of managing and delivering IT infrastructure projects
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make decisions based on data.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Certifications: Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, AWS) are highly desirable.
    • Technical Expertise:
      • Deep technical knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory (both on-prem and Azure).
      • Proficient in virtualization technologies, particularly VMware; experience with Hyper-V is a plus.
      • Proficient in scripting languages (PowerShell preferred)
      • Ability to learn and adapt new technologies
