    Primary Responsibilities

    To advance this vision, we are investing in emerging technologies and modern platforms-including next-generation Order Management Systems (OMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)-to transform and modernize our supply chain and warehouse operations.

    We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Solutions Architect, Distribution Technology (Warehouse & Supply Chain) to lead technological advancements in these critical areas. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and architecting innovative technology solutions that optimize supply chain operations, improve warehouse efficiency, and streamline transportation processes. You will define and guide the architectural foundations and development principles required to support large-scale platform implementations and upgrades.     Essential Functions

    DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Design and deliver technical architectures that meet scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and security requirements for large-scale, mission-critical Warehouse Management and Supply Chain systems.
    • Define deployment configurations that ensure solutions align with KeHE's business needs.
    • Propose and refine technical solutions to business challenges, ensuring software components meet functional and technical requirements.
    • Partner with and guide development teams to achieve desired outcomes across platform architecture, availability, scalability, security, and integration with third-party solutions.
    • Analyze data, integrations, and system patterns to support the design, build, and maintenance of scalable platforms.
    • Advise IT leadership and technical staff on industry standards, emerging trends, and best practices.
    • Collaborate with system specialists to establish operational procedures and best practices.
    • Identify and assess technical debt in existing systems, recommending solutions to reduce risk and improve performance.
    • Evaluate security vulnerabilities and threats, applying appropriate controls or recommending new safeguards aligned with evolving technologies.
    • Provide technical guidance and expertise to developers, analysts, QA/testing teams, compliance, and other IT stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain technical design documentation, including proposals, estimates, specifications, and operational guides.
    • Build and lead a high-performing team of innovators to drive measurable outcomes for Operations and Commercial teams, leveraging advanced technologies.
    • Other duties and special projects as requested.


    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
    • Strong foundational knowledge and experience in architecting distributed enterprise systems
    • Strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems(TMS), and other relevant supply chain technologies.
    • Strong preference to Manhattan applications experience
    • Understanding of MACH and Cloud architecture patterns as we as a variety of database and messaging/streaming technologies including RDBMS, NoSQL, Kafka, and RabbitMQ, MIF, Boomi
    • Experience with containerization/orchestration technologies tools like Docker, Mesos, Kubernetes and Swarm
    • Experience with distributed caching frameworks such as Redis, Hazelcast, etc.
    • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery using modern DevOps tools
    • Preferred knowledge and possibly certification of structured architecture methodologies like Zackman orTOGAF
    • High-energy, self-motivated, results-oriented with a "get it done" attitude. Capable of working effectively in a team setting
    • Ability to handle changes in direction and work priorities with ease; is positive and level-headed under pressure; adaptable
    • Demonstrated passion for quality and innovation with a customer-first attitude
    • Leadership experience in managing technology architecture roadmaps and overseeing full life cycle implementations at enterprise scale
    • A pro-active and self-motivated approach to problem solving which includes curiosity and passion for customer experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups and senior leaders

    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 10+ years' experience developing and architecting enterprise Warehouse Management, Transportation and Logistics solutions
    • Experience with Manhattan Technologies
    • Experience in implementing large-scale Supply Chain technology solutions.
    • Familiarity with Manhattan Integration Framework (MIF), multiple versions of Manhattan WMS / PKMS and related integration patterns and platforms.
    • Experience in multi-vendor eco system with ability to manage conflicts/escalations
