Primary Responsibilities
The Senior Commercial Analyst will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and the broader Commercial Senior Leadership team. This hybrid role requires the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, heavy in executive or administrative support and project management volume and general financial reconciliations. This role requires high levels of accountability, professionalism, aggressiveness, adaptability and maturity under minimal supervision, but in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ensures efficient use of their time and anticipates, initiates, coordinates and follows up on administrative activities and other special projects.
Key to this role is the capabilities of proactive aggregating reports, and analyzing data to support strategic decisions, coordinating meetings and events, and executing initiatives aligned to the strategic priorities. These responsibilities should result in improvements in overall performance and driving and measuring growth. The Senior Commercial Planning Analyst will organize, align, and communicate strategic priorities for the greater team. This role will own or identify owners and be accountable for projects/tasks to ensure overall we are efficient and consistent operations for the teams and their customers. This is a highly cross-functional role that intersects several departments, requiring effective internal collaboration.
Essential Functions
- Executive Support
- Provide high-level administrative support to the CCO, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and communication handling.
- Anticipates needs and prepare materials for meetings, presentations, and conferences.
- Serve as a liaison between the CCO and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Represents the CCO in meetings when necessary, ensuring alignment and follow-through on key initiatives.
- Strategic Planning & Analysis
- Coordinates and tracks strategic initiatives, ensures alignment with business objectives or dashboards and timely execution.
- Anticipates, prepares and compiles materials for conferences and meetings on their own initiative.
- Aggregates and analyzes data providing support, predictions, and accountability to the CCO and leadership team.
- Creates, maintains, updates and reconciles spreadsheets and/or BI tools to support reporting and analysis for executive management.
- Project & Initiative Management
- Coordinate and track strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely execution.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead or support cross-functional projects, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and progress tracking.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure consistent and efficient operations across the Commercial team by aligning priorities, streamlining processes, and driving execution.
- Coordinate strategic meetings, including agenda setting, deliverable tracking, and post-meeting follow-ups.
- May provide guidance or oversight to other administrative staff as needed.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
- College degree combined with corporate general management experience and/or increasing responsibility.
- Project management experience. Experience using tools or processes in managing large or complex projects.
- Proven capabilities in handling highly confidential, proprietary and strategic information.
- Strong technical and analytical background with the ability to analyze and translate data into strategic actions.
- Experienced in identifying opportunities and making recommendations for process improvement.
- Professional and expert presentation skills; advanced in designing visual presentations.
- Strategic thinker with effective diplomatic and proactive leadership skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, highly interactive environment.
- Comfortable interfacing between Sr. Executives and the organization.
- Highly credible, trustworthy, collaborative, and resourceful in style with the ability to work independently and as a team player in handling confidential matters and sensitive information.
- Strong understanding of the basics around business financials.
- Strong attention to detail.
