Primary Responsibilities
The Sr. Manager, HR - Corporate and Labor Relations will support multiple corporate based teams including Supply Chain, Transportation, and Operations Continuous Improvement. In addition to strategic HR support for these verticals, the role will aid in developing and executing labor relations avoidance strategies in the distribution/warehouse network.
The role will require the leader to work in corporate and field-distribution/warehouse environments to build strong relationships with Operations and HR teams. The leader will strategically influence business partners to support KPIs, performance management, organizational design, employee relations, project execution, and leadership. The role will serve as support to the distribution/warehouse and corporate teams working as a trusted advisor to foster an environment consistent with KeHE' s Culture, Mission and Values. Essential Functions
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Support the development and implementation of positive employee relations strategies to maintain a union-free environment.
- Monitor workplace climate and employee sentiment to identify and address potential labor issues early.
- Train leaders on positive employee relations strategies in partnership with corporate and field Operations and HR leaders.
- Support union negotiations and contract administration
- Analyze workforce data to identify trends and recommend improvements in engagement, retention, and productivity.
- Conducts investigations and provides guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Leverages Centers of Excellence to successfully manage day-to-day workflow such as recruitment, payroll and benefits, and other administrative processes.
- Support training programs to enhance leadership capabilities across all supported functions.
- Lead HR initiatives related to organizational change, network projects, restructuring, and system implementations.
- Change Management leadership; ability to adapt HR strategies into actionable initiatives that achieve sustainable business results
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:- Must be skilled in making recommendations to effectively resolve complex problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
- Proficiency with data analysis to identify, problem-solve, root cause, and action issues
- This role will require the ability to work successfully under pressure, handle multiple highly sensitive issues, competing priorities, projects, and under tight time constraints.
- Able to work effectively with the Field distribution/warehouse leaders, Regional HRMs, Corporate leadership, and the Operations team in a collaborative manner
- Ability to effectively research, create, articulate, and present information to stakeholders
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within distribution, warehouse, supply chain, and/or transportation
- 3+ years of experience in labor relations, union avoidance, mitigation strategies, and/or unionized environments
- Strong knowledge of employes laws and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- HR Certification - PHR, SPRHM, SHRM-CP/SCP preferred
- Must be able to travel 25%-50%
- Ability to occasionally work nights and weekends.
