Location: Remote with Requirement to travel for business needs

Role Purpose:

The Manager of Retail Execution (MRE) will play a key role in ensuring the effective execution of retail plans and strategies in alignment with company goals.

The MRE will be responsible for supporting the deployment of retail activities across various store locations, overseeing in-store execution, ensuring product availability, visual merchandising, and promotional activities meet brand standards. Strong interpersonal relationship-building skills and the ability to analyze data are critical for managing the broker network to optimize growth within the category. The role will focus on optimizing store performance, collaborating closely with field teams, and driving results to ensure the successful execution of retail strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the timely and accurate implementation of retail plans across assigned stores or regions.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to define customer priorities and develop selling materials to support in-store activation.
  • Collaborate with brand teams to develop best in class merchandising standards across Grocery, Natural and Mass, driving communication and direction with all retail teams.
  • Monitor in-store product availability and communicate with field teams to resolve out-of-stock issues and product distribution gaps.
  • Track execution effectiveness using Power BI tools to report on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights on retail activities' impact on sales and brand performance.
  • Develops customer presentations, recommendations, and introduction of Perfect Shelf skus that have elevated ACV traction that would aid the retailer in maximizing their revenue by revamping the existing planogram line-up on shelf.
  • Work closely with retail execution teams, store managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication of retail priorities.
  • Develop relationships with all levels within broker partners to drive initatives and gain support of field teams on execution standards and best practices.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on the status of retail execution activities and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate and conduct quarterly business reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze in-store execution data to measure the success of retail strategies and highlight any areas of concern.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training materials related to retail execution for internal teams or external partners.
  • Ensure teams are kept informed of changes in retail plans, product assortments, or promotional guidelines.
  • Cost Management of Retail Execution, including Direct Retail Team, Incentives and POS.
  • Execution Management across the Direct Retail Team, Grocery Syndicated Team, Mass and Natural.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail execution, merchandising, or similar roles within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.

Preferred:
  • May provide guidance to field teams and other retail execution partners as needed, ensuring adherence to company standards and timelines.
  • Support in the development and execution of partner team training on retail execution best practices.

Competencies and Proficiency Requirements:
  • Familiarity with specific retail tools or software (like Nielsen, IRI, or in-house trade marketing tools) for tracking performance. Also, a focus on data analysis to monitor the success of retail plans
  • Leveraging insight and knowledge using empirical data sources (SPINS & Distributor portal data) to make factual recommendations to retailers.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, in-store merchandising, and promotional execution.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, track KPIs, and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across different teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to meet and/or exceed sales goals on a consistent basis
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating reports, assisting in presentations, and managing sales data.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • $95,000 -$105,000 (commensurate with experience and location)
