    Primary Responsibilities

    The primary job responsibility of the Key Account Representative - Fresh is to act as the intermediary between the customer and KeHE. It is the responsibility of the Key Account Representative (KAR) to make sure the customers' needs are met by the company, and in doing so, increase sales and margins on a consistent basis. To do this, the KAR's communication skills must be very strong to both our external and internal customer. The external customer is the business owner, manager, buyer or category manager. The internal customer is everyone at Monterrey, Purchasing, Operations, Transportation and Finance.

    Essential Functions
    • Growth in the territory is expected, through account penetration, new customers, new programs etc.
    • Ensure accuracy of pricing and authorized buy list for each account.
    • Ensure all promotional allowances are in ours and the customers system accurately and with correct start and end dates.
    • Actively work to ensure promotional activity is always happening in your accounts by working directly with Manufacturers and Brokers on your customers behalf.
    • Responsible for inventory committed to by his customer and will work on overstock product until it is brought in line or has a resolution.
    • The KAR will work with the Broker and Supplier community to grow our mutual business by presenting new items to the customer.
    • Present new items to their customers that are brought in for other accounts.
    • The KAR will return all phone calls and e-mails within a reasonable amount of time, no more than 24 hours is the expectation.
    • The KAR will be financially conservative and a good steward of company funds and resources.

    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
    • Bachelor's Degree required.
    • Two (2+) Years or more of previous experience in a similar role with respect to customer focus and retention.

    Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:
    • Experience in the Food Industry a plus.
    • Flexible and intelligent.
    • Effective problem solving skills.
    • Ability to multi-task with minimal director/Self starter.
    • Hyper detail orientated.
    • Can-Do attitude.
    • Customer Focused.
    • Ability to own relationships with customers
