    Primary Responsibilities

    The Payroll Manager at KeHE, is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the payroll team and reports to the Director of Benefits and Payroll. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll management and administration skills.     Essential Functions
    • Leads and provides guidance to the Payroll team.
    • Ensures compliance of all federal, state and other FLSA mandates.
    • Enforces consistent procedures and policies resulting in accurate and timely payroll processing.
    • Manage and guarantee the processes of bi-weekly / multi-state payroll disbursement.
    • Ensure the correct processing of deductions, reimbursements, and garnishments.
    • Assist in generating and processing all calendar year end, fiscal year end information, including W2s but not limited to W2s.
    • Create and provide various wage related reports upon request.
    • Critically review and analyze current payroll and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations.
    • Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
    • Provide payroll reporting for workers compensation compliance.
    • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information, and processing one-off reimbursements.

    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
    • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or other field which is directly applicable to the position is required.
    • 5 years' experience working in a multi-state payroll department.
    • Must have experience and be proficient in UltiPro payroll and core system.
    • Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables and Vlookup, etc).
    • Working experience of payroll tax at the federal, state and local levels.
    • Understand the function of managing confidential information.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to work with a team and independently, proactively addressing problems and avoid crisis whenever possible.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and assure compliance with company and other applicable policies and procedures.
    • Excellent organization and attention to detail a must.
    • Resourceful and well organized.
