Primary Responsibilities
The Product Manager is responsible for driving the development of KeHE digital products and platforms in our Business Intelligence arena acting as a key innovator and contributor to the ultimate success of the product(s). S/he will serve as the customer proxy responsible for working with Product teams and other stakeholders. Applies extensive problem solving and analytical skills to identify, communicate, and document business needs. Acts with curiosity and empathy to elicit needs from business stakeholders, and acts as liaison between business stakeholders and the BI engineering team. Demonstrates a strong ability to own objectives, overcome challenges and become a deeply knowledgeable product professional in multiple subject areas. S/he will work independently and partner closely with functional leaders and Sr Director of Business Intelligence Product Development to optimize and redefine the product vision and feature opportunities, explore the feasibility and benefits of new capabilities, and translate these into tangible value.
Essential Functions
- Must have remarkable oral communication skills to deliver compelling presentations that inspire and lead highly collaborative product reviews and working sessions
- Serves the organization by driving engagement with key members, including VP's, directors, subject matter experts, and functional leaders to identify and prioritize product functionality and capabilities
- Develops defensible analysis of return on investment (ROI) for system and functional improvements and implements effective methods to evaluate the ROI
- Responsible for delivering measurable business results through product innovative solutions, maximizing the value of the product
- Applies an extensive understanding of KeHE business systems and business processes that drive KeHE's P&L to create solutions that enable competitive advantage
- Applies an extensive understanding of the KeHE digital product development process, including the technology stack, information architecture, team roles, and resource constraints to create new capabilities for KeHE
- Acts as the CEO of the associated products in a functional area, from vision through practical implementation, and is ultimately responsible for the product success
- Effectively applies and owns quantitative research, a deep understanding of commercially available solutions, and competitor capabilities in the continuous development of a product roadmap
- Working lean with a focus on delivering the right solutions to customers with the highest quality in the shortest sustainable lead time
- Evangelizes the agile approach to product and process improvement and performs as a leader by coaching and mentoring others in the organization as the approach is adopted
- Leverages pragmatic project management skills to deliver products on time and on budget
- Partners with product engineering teams to ship products that provide a surprising and engaging customer experience
- Applies remarkable written communication skills to create clear and simple mission statements, epic objectives, release criteria, sprint goals, and product features
- Energizes the team towards product mission objectives
- Regularly reviews the status of projects to verify that expectations are met
- Acts as an example to others for continuous improvement through a unyielding focus on personal and professional growth and development, across a variety of disciplines
- Creates dynamic and informative data visualizations that tell a story to stakeholders that allow them to understand product adoption and business value
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
- Bachelor's degree required, masters a plus, if relevant
- Minimum 7 years of business experience including 3+ years in product development on an agile team
- Proven track record of leading cross functional teams in a team-oriented, dynamic environment
- Experience leading product development across technology form factors - traditional, cloud, AI/ML
- Proven problem-solving skills; must be very comfortable performing data analysis and making data-driven decisions
- Ability to determine how to use resources and time to meet schedules and objectives
- Extensive experience interacting with SVP, VP, and director-level stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Experience managing, identifying, and developing potential candidates for product roles
- Experience managing resources
