    Primary Responsibilities

    The Senior Demand Replenishment Planner position is key role supporting our strategic vision to be the preferred supply chain partner in the specialty, natural & organic, and fresh market place in North America. The Senior Demand Replenishment Planner operates within the Perishable and Fresh categories of the specialty and natural food industry. Responsibilities of this position include replenishment, forecasting, logistics management, inventory management and supplier performance. The Senior Demand Replenishment Planner will work cross-functionally with members of demand planning, account management, sales, vendor management, transportation, warehouse operations, vendors, brokers, and inbound freight shippers.

    Essential Functions

    • Become the product planning expert for assigned products & categories.• Achieve established service level, inventory, gross spoils, MAPE, and bias KPIs. • End-to-End PO execution.• Ensure that the lowest cost-to-deliver decisions are made during the purchasing process by working cross-functionally with marketing, transportation, and warehouse operations.• Anticipate total network inventory position impacts of sales promotional/seasonal volume projections, new item introductions and obsolete item discontinuation and manages appropriate DRP system parameters to meet inventory targets.• Proactively review and assess ability to support promotional/seasonal Advance Order (AOM) volume. Takes aggressive action to mitigate any availability issues and proactively communicates with account teams.• Partner with the appropriate Customer Fulfillment Specialists to integrate key account/channel demand into the forecast.• Utilize forecasting tools to quickly recognize changes in item-level sales trends and tune forecasts to drive the fulfillment equation. • Provide data driven insight and actionable feedback to all internal partners regarding quality/accuracy of event-based sales projections.• Identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to better optimize inventory, inventory health, and service-level. • Supports/Lead Supply Chain projects.• Collaborates with Training on continuous improvement inatives and system upgrades.

    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

    • 3-5 years of related supply chain experience desired.• Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Engineering or related field.• Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts, Purchasing, Inventory Management, and their application

    Qualifications/Additional Skills/Aptitude

    • Experience with Advanced Planning Software packages like JDA Fulfillment, JDA Demand Planning, or E3 is strongly preferred.• Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.• Demonstrates financial acumen and ability to apply cost-benefit analysis in their decision making.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).• Effective presentation skills with ability to tailor both analysis and message to his/her audience.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with focus on advanced Excel skills and analysis. Ability to manipulate and manage large volumes of data.• Food industry experience in a similar Supply Chain role is preferred.
