JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for the accurate collection and analyzing of sales data of company and competitors’ revenues and customer and consumers buying patterns to provide business trade, category and customer insights. Performs various technical data gathering activities which require the application of sales and marketing principles and practices, including account analysis, reconciliation, research and interpretation to provide strategic assistance in accurate forecasting and improvement of sales efficiency. Works independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.   

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Creates, maintains and updates databases that are used to track sales and maintain customer Service management (CRM). 
• Develops efficient means to analyze past and present market sales trends and consumer behavior and preferences. 
• Creates and maintains sales reports and ensures business cycle deadlines are met.
• Interprets the analyzed data and reports to provide recommendations to Sales and Marketing to improve the business’ sales efficiency and potential.
• Assists in creating feasible sales goals and accurate forecasting of sales revenues. 
• Maintains effective and cooperative working relationships with all co-workers, vendors, and customers. Works closely with sales team and with assigned inter-departmental teammates.  Helps maintain a       productive work environment.
• Develops, maintains, and follows Standard Operating Procedures and Checklists for selected job functions.  Makes recommendations for improved operations and implements approved changes.
• Maintains safety as a top priority of the job, following all safety guidelines including proper ergonomics and stretching.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.

• Complies with the Company’s food safety program as detailed in company and departmental policies and procedures.  Reports food safety and quality issues to the Director of Sales and the Director of Compliance and Quality.
• Provides any additional sales and customer service support as assigned to aid Sales in meeting its goals. Works on special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. AA degree (Preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science or Marketing) Competency in the application of database management principles and practices with respect to collecting large amounts of data, organizing and analyzing to translate to accurate forecasting, trend analysis and recommending KPI development with actionable insights.

2. Computer literate, experienced with spreadsheets, slide deck design, databases, and CRM software programs.  Ability to troubleshoot problems with hardware, software and peripheral equipment.

3. Strong Problem-solving skills that lead to accurate modeling for revenue forecasts, pricing scenarios and budgetary adjustments.

4. Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills.  Polished presentation skills.

5. Ability to work independently; strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize workload to ensure due dates are met.

6. High level of attention to detail with the ability to follow through promptly on work assignments.

7. Ability to establish and maintain professional, friendly, cooperative and effective working relationships with Bakery co-workers, vendors and customers. Ability to be a productive, cooperative, and flexible team member. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Full-time non-exempt position, 40-45 hours per week.  Current work schedule is Monday through Friday.   Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday hours to cover departmental work needs may be required.
• 2-5 years of data collection & management and/or data analysis experience, preferably in food manufacturing or CPG.
• Tasks that are sedentary in nature.
