Position Title:  Accounts Receivable Specialist

Position Status: Full Time 

Compensation and Benefits:
·       Salary range is $25-$29 per hour
·       Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, 401k with 4% company match, sick and vacation leave

Position Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for select AR accounting tasks and reports to the AR-AP Manager. This position requires general accounting knowledge, experience working with an accounting software system, preferably QuickBooks, and intermediate Excel skills. This role works with our accounting software (currently QuickBooks), ProTrace ( inventory and order management system), customer portals, Excel, and other systems as needed. The AR Specialist will have strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
The AR Specialist works closely with other Accounting team members, members of Sales and other departments, as well as external partners (customers and brokers). This position is for someone who is able to work independently; is very trustworthy and detail oriented. They will help to ensure all finance policies and controls are followed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
·       Accounts Receivable: accurately post customer payments and deposits in accounting system; research, validate and account for short payments (deductions); work with Claims Specialist and Sales team to resolve issues. 
·       Accounting for short payments involves utilizing customer portals, email, and cloud-based software to gather documentation; using Excel to summarize data; corresponding with customers, Sales team and brokers on AR questions; entering payments and deposits into accounting system (QuickBooks).
·       Other accounting tasks and projects as needed. This may include depositing paper checks to bank portal.

Qualifications Education / Experience Desired:
·       Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Accounting or Business Administration 
·       2 years minimum of experience in an accounting position
·       Experience working with an accounting software system, preferably QuickBooks 
·       Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word; intermediate Excel skills (formatting, vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
·       Understanding of a consumer products business, especially food industry, preferred 
·       Exceptional communication skills
·       Desire to be part of a small (but mighty) accounting team supporting the growth of an exciting food brand

·       Must be able to accurately document information in a timely manner

·       Math and computational skills required
 
Supervision Given:
·       This position will report to the AR-AP Manager
·       This position is expected to be able to work with minimal oversight at times, and confidently handle co-worker and customer interactions on their own.

Work Location: Hybrid, with occasional time in Loveland, CO office. 
 
Travel Required:  Limited – May be asked to go off-site (locally) for training or company events.
