Primary Responsibilities
The Senior Sales Associate is accountable to execute strategies to drive new customer sales growth. This role involves leading prospective initiatives, refining and executing outreach strategies, negotiating, overcoming objections, and converting prospects into customers. Essential Functions
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with executive-level customers to foster long-term partnerships, drive sales conversations, and offer continuous improvement strategies.
- Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of our products and services to effectively communicate our value proposition to prospects.
- Engages leads to cultivate new business opportunities, assessing potential and securing discovery calls with key decision-makers.
- Drives prospects through the sales pipeline by strategically qualifying high-value leads, conducting impactful sales presentations, and proactively overcoming objections to accelerate conversion and revenue growth.
- Maintains awareness of industry trends, market opportunities, and competitor activities to demonstrate credibility and identify new opportunities.
- Pursues new opportunities and projects with the aim of securing long-term strategic partnerships.
- Leads negotiations of terms and closes new sales deals to meet revenue targets and objectives.
- Participates in the onboarding process for new customers to confirm a seamless transition and successful implementation of our products or services.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Expert level knowledge of food logistics and market trends.
- Deep understanding of rate structures and customer pricing.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written with executive levels of management.
- Ability to make effective, managed services, sales presentations to executive level leaders.
- Ability to deal effectively with pressure, recover from setbacks, and maintain persistence to achieve targeted sales goals.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Ability to travel as required by the company.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Long-term track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or related field.
- Eight years of experience in sales, marketing, business, supply chain, or a related field.
