    Overview

    The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of executing the day-to-day customer store level retail relationship in an assigned territory. The Retail Operations manager's success will be based on engagement activities with both customer store personnel and District Directors. These success measures include overall KeHE positive service rating, credit experience, policy adherence, incremental sales opportunities, and ensuring store understanding of any upcoming events or updates.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Major Areas of Responsibility:
    • Achieve and maintain a positive service rating from store personnel and District Directors by presenting KeHE service and volume opportunities.
    • On a weekly basis, pre-plan store engagement visits to execute monthly objectives and identify store-specific opportunities (excessive credits, ordering issues, etc.) that need to be discussed during each store engagement.
    • Adherence to established store engagement (both in-person and virtual) coverage frequency in assigned territory.
    • During store engagement visits: execute monthly store objectives such as presenting monthly update bulletin, mini-business review, credit management opportunities, ongoing issue identification, and establishing overall store satisfaction rating.
    • Utilize established CRM tool to track execution and progress during store engagements.
    • Follow-up with respective store personnel or District Directors to ensure satisfaction with any ongoing issue resolution.
    • Engage and present KeHE business updates in quarterly district meetings as scheduled.
    • Work with KeHE's Merchandising Team to monitor and ensure success with new store sets and resets/remodels.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Essential Functions

    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

    Education, Experience Requirements of Job:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in sales of grocery products to natural and/or conventional grocery accounts preferred
    • Demonstrated knowledge of retail grocery operations
    • Microsoft Office experience required, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
    • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends
    • Ability and willingness to travel (drive and fly) up to 75%
    • Demonstrated strength in oral and written communications with people at all organizational levels
    • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting effective meetings and making clear and concise presentations.
    • Strong negotiating, communication, and organizational skills as well as interpersonal skills
    • Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals and contribute to a collaborative work environment - must be a team player
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a variety of tasks simultaneously, focusing on those with the highest business impact, including anticipating problems and taking appropriate preventive action to avoid crises whenever possible
    • Seek continued product knowledge to become a natural product "expert". Must be motivated to achieve personal development.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds
