Job Description
Overview/Purpose:
The PM Technician conducts routine preventative maintenance activities on equipment throughout the facility. These activities include cleaning, inspection, minor repairs, and documenting findings and actions in the Emaint CMMS. The PM Technician will also assist other maintenance mechanics as needed with project and corrective maintenance work.
Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs preventive maintenance activities on all equipment and plant structures in a safe manner, in compliance with State and Federal GMP's, SOP's and company Policies and Procedures.
- Inspects machines for parts wear and recommend/participate in making necessary repairs.
- Assist with other maintenance department activities such as parts room organization and inventory.
- Assist with other maintenance mechanics with project and corrective work including installation of new equipment.
- Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary.
- Follow all Food Safety guidelines, such as, but not limited to:
- GMP's
- Allergen Program
- Quality
- HACCP
- Sanitation
- Safety
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Industrial electrical/mechanical maintenance experience preferably in a packaging manufacturing environment, or similar education and/or experience with PLC is desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work within a team concept. Flexibility is an asset.
- Strong safety record.
- Ability to work independently with limited instruction.
- Good attendance and dependability a must.
- Must have computer skills to look up part location/availability on computer using maintenance software.
- Ability to communicate with other mechanics and be able to explain mechanical processes and theory.
- Ability to meet attendance guidelines and work additional hours/OT as needed.
- Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with all contacts both inside and outside the company.
- Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and overtime as required
- Understanding of basic principles of the SQF program and other food safety policies/procedures

Compensation and Benefits:
- New starting wage is $26.50 per hour (commensurate with experience and location). *Note that rate could change based on shift schedule
