Natural Channel National Sales Manager

Reports To: Senior Director of Sales & Marketing

Job Purpose: Develop and Execute Sales Plan within the Natural channel

Responsibilities:

Sales Planning and Execution:
· Develop and execute customer sales plans to achieve company objectives, revenue & profit targets.
· Successfully manage brokers and distributors to meet revenue & profit growth targets.
· Help build and refine sales strategy.
· Identify emerging markets, trends and sales opportunities by actively monitoring trends about consumers, customers, markets, competitors and products.
· Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales strategies with brand, portfolio & marketing strategy.

Customer Account Management:
· Develop & maintain relationships with key customers via regular contact and joint planning.
· Plan trade and promotional activity that drives the business.
· Identify and open new accounts within the Natural channel, including multi-store chains and independents.
· Manage all aspects of pricing at the account level.
· Identify tactics at key accounts to drive incremental sales.
 
Budget Planning and Execution:
· Prepare, track and analyze sales budget and forecast.
· Monitor expenses, analyze financial data, and adjust strategies as needed to meet financial goals.

Other:
· Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
· Serve as a brand ambassador, embodying the values and ethos of our bakery.
· Lead additional sales projects as necessary.

Qualifications 
· Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Natural Channel sales management, preferably within the organic food industry (CPG preferred).
· Bachelor's Degree required.
· Deep understanding of CPG sales principles, distribution channels, and market dynamics.
· Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
· Willingness to travel as needed and work flexible hours as needed to meet business demands.
· West Coast location preferred.
