    Primary Responsibilities

    The Senior Manager of Business Development,Fresh will be responsible for identifying, establishing and building KeHE's Fresh redistribution business. This key position will develop the strategies and tactics executed to win new business pursuits with broadline and regional opportunities in Deli, Foodservice, Bakery, Bulk, Meat & Seafood and Produce. As with all positions at KeHE Distributors, we expect that all actions will be consistent with the KeHE Mission, Vision, and Values.

    Essential Functions

    DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Establish KeHE as the industry leader in quality, innovative Fresh solutions
    • Work with Commercial Strategy & Analytics team to establish profitable customer programs
    • Partner with KeHE Solutions organization on service and onboarding models
    • Consult with prospective customers to identify and define business needs, determine a solution, develop and present proposals
    • Partner with marketing, customer care, IT, and account set up teams to develop relevant infrastructure to support new channels
    • Calculate, analyze, and improve the effectiveness of the sales process and systems to better support the Fresh channel
    • Work with finance team to provide consistent pre and post-analysis of ongoing performance within Fresh categories
    • Communicate all channel plans to applicable internal KeHE Departments and external stakeholders
    • Conduct regular business reviews and category analysis with Key Customers and Account Managers to monitor performance, build meaningful relationships, and re-affirm strategies to optimize growth.
    • Keep abreast of all competitive and other relevant information in Fresh Categories and provide consistent feedback to the leadership team
    • Represent KeHE Fresh at trade shows and industry events.
    • Attend and network at professional meetings, trade shows and seminars to build relationships and surface new sales leads.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
    • Understanding of category management with strong quantitative, analytical and consumer insights knowledge.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting effective meetings and making clear and concise presentations.
    • Strong negotiating, communication and organizational skills as well as interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able and willing to travel 25% of the time.

    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
    • Minimum eight years of experience in Fresh & redistribution
    • Expertise in natural/organic, specialty/gourmet and bulk products
    • Minimum five years of experience in Business Development activities.
    • Minimum five years of experience at a single employer
